The Suffolk Family History Society Family History Fair on Saturday 26th April coincides with The Societies 50th Anniversary.

The Speakers have been booked – along with over 20 Stalls and displays. The Stalls include, for the first time Family Search.

There will also be a Free Family History Research Help Desk (from 11:00 to 15:00).

Special Speakers are:
11:00 Ian Waller “ The Times they are a changing.” How family History Researching has changed over the last 40/50 years.
13:00 Nick Barratt, Author, Broadcaster and Historian whose best known work is “Who do you think you are?” form its early days. He will look at the impact of digital technology, on the way we research and share information about our ancestors to others… and the risks and opportunities posed by generative artificial intelligence.
15:15 Judith Berry, Head of Suffolk Archives and The Hold, with an update on the Suffolk Archives service and plans for the future – including Ancestry.
