The Mid-Suffolk Light Railway’s Vintage & Bygones Fair and Exhibition on 26th November will have it’s own FREE bus service. Bus will run from Stowmarket Station and will be provided by the Eastern Counties Bus Preservation Group.
This will be the first of many services organised by the two charities. The aim is to make travel to  the railway’s events easier, especially for those with limited access to other forms of transport. And, of course, there is the added pleasure of experiencing two historic rides on one day out.
There will be four buses throughout the day from Stowmarket Station to Brockford MSLR station starting at 10.00, and four returning, the last one leaving the Middy at 16.30.
Mid-Suffolk Light Railway Vintage & Bygones Fair and ExhibitionThe Vintage & Bygones Fair and Exhibition is for all those who have an interest in early mechanical and electrical objects, many of which are absolute works of art in their own right. Amongst the the items on display will be musical boxes, planetary clocks, lighting and oil lamps, stoves and cookers, model trains from clockwork to steam, vintage clothing and much more, all in keeping with the carefully composed Middy style of an Edwardian country railway.
As well as the fair, visitors can enjoy the unique atmosphere created at the Mid-Suffolk Light Railway, Suffolk’s only standard gauge heritage railway. During the day you will be able to ride the trains as often as you like and the genuine Great Eastern Railway Victorian four-wheeled coaches are a historical experience for any passengers, especially children.
