American singer/songwriter, Simon Joyner will be playing at the Queen Street Brewhouse, Colchester, on 17th November starting at 7pm.
Queen Street Brewhouse is a quirky event space located in the heart of Colchester. Grab a beer, immerse yourself in the historical surroundings, and listen to Simon Joyner. He’ll bring his unique blend of insightful lyricism and masterful guitar playing to this intimate and eclectic arts space!
Support will be provided by DM Rice, a Texan song writer, living in England, with influences including Jeffrey Lewis, Kimya Dawson, and The Felice Brothers. Also joining the bill will be Matt Kay, who has set themselves apart with a prodigious, modern approach to the blues influenced by the likes Robert Cray, Walter Trout, and Charlie Musselwhite.
Gillian Welch says, “Omaha has given us the reigning heir to Henry Miller’s dark emotional mirror, Townes Van Zandt’s three-chord moan, and Lou Reed’s warehouse minimalism: his name is Simon Joyner.”
