Soroptimist International Ipswich & District are working with the Purple Teardrop Campaign to collect unwanted gently used or new BRAS, between 10.00am to 4.00pm, on Saturday 7th October 2017 in Sailmakers Shopping Centre, Ipswich.

They will be helping women and girls who have survived sex trafficking in Mozambique, El Salvador and Kenya to earn their own living and keeping them safe from being re-trafficked. Every 100 bras collected will enable a survivor of sex trafficking to set up her own business selling second hand bras, which are a status symbol in these countries and command a good price.  It will help give them back their self esteem and self confidence. Donations are welcomed to help pay for shipping out the bras.

Joyce Boorman came into the ICR studio on Friday morning, to tell us all about it. Catch the whole interview on MixCloud
