At their December meeting, the Ipswich Group of Suffolk Family History Society will welcome local speaker of renown,  Linda Sexton. Linda will present:

“The Baron, The Police, The Mayor – and Ipswich Riots in 1863.”

The police played a major role dealing with riots which occurred over two nights in November1863, involving police, Borough Council members,  clergy (of all persuasions), and several thousand Ipswich residents!
